My comment toward staggered setup...

For those who are thinking or already have the staggered wheel/tire setup for looks, I think you guys put the wheel/tire backward. You should have the wider ones in the front and narrower ones in the rear.

It's all about personal preference, we all work hard to make our rydes look how we want them to look. No one elses opinion should count when it comes to what you like, do what makes you happy, not what makes everyone esle happy. IMO

Add to that a staggered non-RWD car.

It's all individuality, MPO is that the staggard look is agressive and very sporty. I think staggered wheels are okay if the offset is staggered to fit, some people on here have a staggered offsets but the actual size of the wheel is the same. In the end it's your money and your happiness.

I for one have never done a mod to please others...i do it for me and if someone likes them great if not my feelings aren't hurt. as for staggered, i think that always looks awesome. to each his own.

I like the staggard setup as far as looks go, but I agree that it dosent make sense on an FWD car. The whole idea is to put more rubber to the tires that are powered.

Even engineers who design RWD cars would rather run the same wheels all around if they didn't have to worry about traction in the back. It hurts turn-in, causes understeer, increases rolling resistance, rotational mass, and decreases fuel economy. Those are big penalties to pay, but if you need the traction, it's worth it.

Of course on a FWD car, you don't need traction in the rear, so instead you just get all the downsides.

Doing things for looks is fine in my book, but when mods start making my car handle worse (staggered wheels) or put my health at risk (no airbag) then I draw the line.

I am running 19x8 front and back however I have a different offset in the front and back so that I can have a bigger lip in the back.

Hmm, are you pretty sure about that? Rondy told me they were the same all around:

"The offsets on the wheels are actually a 48mm all around, we had changed the specs since we posted them on the site, before we built these sets. So no rubbing and BBk clearance."

all I know is that if I put the wheels that I have on in the back now they stick out in the front.

Will that affect handling? If I am getting this right, doesn't lower offset in the back push out the wheel outward as well, isn't that similar to staggered setting in a way???

Even if the tires are the same size, your going to have a hell of a time rotating staggered rims with uni-directional tires but if it's your kettle of fish..go for it.

thats what I have basiaclly. I cant rotate my wheels at all. when a tire wears out get it replaced. I could have the tires removed from the wheels and rotated.

not in the winter but I drive it every sunny day with dry roads in spring, summer, and fall. however hopefully I will get atleast 2 - 3 years out of the tires as they cost me a fortune.

well..the OP wanted 19 inche rims. It's always a risk to keep peeling off the rubber from the rim of scratching..especially a 19 inche chrome rim.
