Mugen NRs

My Mugen NRs came in yesterday. Here are some pix out of the box. I will get these mounted in the next couple of weeks. I need to make time to install my suspension first .

I think it's even heavier than that considering that the king motorsports TSX does 0-60 in well over 7.7 seconds.

Looks-wise, probably fits the lines of the TSX better than any other wheel. The Advan Kruezers would be a close second in the looks department IMO.

I'd be all over this one if they had a forged or cast mag version.

The color is Mirror Face...not sure about the MG. I haven't weighed the wheels yet, but they are not too heavy. They are heavier than they could be since they are cast not forged wheels.

Lovely, lovely, lovely, but............they weigh more than expected. 7+ lbs per wheel is not to be disregarded casually. Pity though.

Still....

Did I mention they looked lovely? No? Okay then - they're lovely, lovely, lovely looking wheels!

May I ask where you got this weight? I have not been able to find an offical published weight for the NR's. I tried weighing the wheels (cheap scale), and they came in around 21 lbs. Other posts I have seen showed the weight at 19 lbs. Does anybody have the weight for just the 2006 OEM wheel (no tire)? I have pinged King Motorsports and will post their reply.

Either way, I am not overly concerned with the weight. I am not trying to win any speed contests with my TSX. Just trying to dress-up my commuter.

Thanks for the comments!

I just received mine yesterday also. I put 235/40/18 on mine and let me tell ya...these wheels look awesome and are made very well.

Just a heads up for the guys that own them. Make sure you order or find some extra valve stems for these. The little rubber things on them go bad and leak. I've had these type of stems before and two of them leaked after about a year.

Can you please post pictures of your wheels with tires mounted? I was thinking of going with 225/40/18, so I'd like to see what the 235's look like.

Thanks and Congrats!

i thought the 235/40/18 is a little to big for a wheel that is only 7.5 wide...

I don't want everyone waiting on me for pics but its been raining here for two days and there is no way im going outside with my camera. I will post as soon as I can. The only difference with the 235 and reason why I went with 235 is for the lil extra side wall for comfort and space between these expensive ass wheels and the pavement.

I like your taste! I decided to get these same tires too. What price did you get? The best I have found so far locally is $880 OTD Mounted and Balanced. I know I can get the wheels a little cheaper online (E.g. Tirerack.com), but feel more comfortable going to a local shop.

I've heard these weight in the low 20 lb range. Not really considered as light weight but not bad for being 21lbs.

Doesnt matter...these rims are hot and style goes over weight LOL!!!
