Honda factory wheels HFP

does anybody know if the HFP wheels will fit on our cars???? and if so do you have any pics and what tire/rims size are you rolling on? I was thinking of picking them up in 18in. and using 215 or 225 45/R18...what do you think??

Hmmm, I might be interested as well if the price is right (I'm in CT).

These would be great winter wheels. The gunmetal color wouldn't have to get cleaned nearly as much as my silver Advans...

I've got these wheels too. They were listed as 23lbs (can't seem to remember where I saw it though), and College Hills Honda who I bought mine from seem to be having a crazy sale ($166.80) on them!

And the new ones for 2008 are silver instead of that weird bronzy-gunmetal color.

23lbs?! weighs alot for performance rims. I was hoping to replace the stock rims with a nice looking lightweight rim. If i'm correct, these HFP (honda factory "performance") rims weigh more than stock tsx rims, right?

An unsubstantiated source, but as good of a place to start as any. See post 20.

According to the website they are 27lbs shipping weight. I imagine that there is about five pounds or so with the box.

Let me know if you can get a better deal. $166 seems like a pretty good deal for wheels.

shipping to NYC via UPS ground is only $90 bucks.

damn. i really want new rims, but i've been holding out b/c i really have no place to put the stock ones which i'd want to save for the winter. and i was hoping to get the ronjon legends in liquid graphite.

but you can get these in 18"s for $760 shipped.

Hey Ole Dawg, what size tire are you running on those 18" HFP wheels? I've got a set coming too.

I have my 18" HFP silvers coming for my 07 CGP TSX either Friday or Monday.

Will try to get a pic up when they are installed. Havent ordered any special centercaps, figured i might be able to use the stock ones. Guess not?

My main concern is the TPMS censors. The $260 bux per wheel i got quoted is because they come with TPMS i am told. But thats for a civic. Does it work with the TSX or do i need new TPMS censors? Also, how do you get the vehicle to recognize the new TPMS? I didnt know how it could tell front left, from front right, etc.

What brand and size tire are you going to run? I think the stock caps may work. They may be just a slight difference in silver if any. I ordered the chrome "A" emblems to replace the "H" they come with.

Anyone know if it will be okay to run a 215/40/18 tire? I know the speedo will be off.

215/45/18 Kumho ECSTA ASX [Brand New Size] on the 18" Silver HFP wheels.

Noone can answer the TPMS question for me? =[ I'd hate to have to unmount, swap TPMS and re-mount the tires.

not sure if the civic sensors will work on the TSX. But put on the HFP wheels on your car and the system should either a) automatically detect the sensors or b) it may take up to 100 miles before they register. If you get that "!" warning, then you know the civic sensors don't work on the TSX.

You could always buy just the HFP wheels and the tires separately... that might save you some money, I know there are a lot of people selling 18" and 17" HFP wheels on ebay with and without tires.

If you need ton buy a set of the sensors, they're on sale used:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-ACU...spagenameZWDVW

Or you can swap out the sensors from your OEM wheels into the new HFP wheels. Typically you can go to any of the wheel shops or the dealer and they'll charge from $100 to $200 for the installation of the TPMS sensors. Hope that answers your question. Good luck and post pics after you get the new wheels

Getting the wheels and tires pre-mounted from a friend who has a friend at a dealership. So i get his discount. Thats why I'm getting them together.

Either the sensors work or i will have to tear it all apart and put some in that do.

So no need to disconnect batteries, etc?

i am planning the same upgrade for my 08 tsx, so i'm very interested in your findings. please do post experiences and pics when you're done!!!! i'm sure everyone will appreciate it.

using the sensors from your tsx wheels might work. i asked this question of the folks at college hills honda via email and they said to have a look at this podcast:

http://www.diyhonda.com/2007/12/podc...c-tpms-in.html

further, they said: "You would need to reuse the sensors you currently have but I can’t guarantee fitment of those sensors in the wheels. My guess however is they will fit like the Civic sensors do in the video link above."

so your best bet would be to get your tpms sensors out of your tsx wheels 1st, and supply them to your friend prior to installation at the dealership.

hope this helps and let us know how it goes.

Well from what i was told from the guy on ebay who sells the used sensors they will not work between civic -- > TSX. instead of chancing that hes wrong i ordered a set to have the dealer install for me so i don't have to re-mount and balance them later on. So i'd say to do the same. This way for 100 bux i get a whole other set of wheels and tires i can use or sell instead of having to swap TPMS every time i swap wheels.

Hmm.. got mine today will have them on tonight. Pics soon. Can't say i'm a fan of the darker rims on that color. I also have a CGP and i think silver will look alot better IMO.
