N.B. If this is old news, I apologize for the repost, but searches for "buddy club taiwan" came up with no hits.

Sad, but looks like it's true. Apparently Buddy Club Japan went out of business and now that Buddy Club USA has taken over, the parts are Made in Taiwan now. So it's not JDM, but rather TDM

The reasoning for me to create this thread is because, intially I wanted to purchase a set of Racing Spec dampers, but if they're not made in JApan anymore, I can't justify the price and be assured of the quality. Figure I would inform prospective buyers of this point.

Here is some excerpts from my correspondance with a couple (ex)Buddy Club vendors:

From AJ-Racing:

"We do not carry any more BuddyClub parts, since Buddyclub Japan went
out of business and what's left of BuddyClub parts are all made in Taiwan."

From Hop Up Racing:

"That is correct, Buddy club Japan has closed down, and which was taken
over by Buddy club Usa. As far as confirming if the suspension was made in
Japan...I'm not 100% certain. From my point of view the suspension was
firstly developed in Japan, but produced from another company which I'm
thinking is Taiwan."

Probably because there's so many of these companies in Japan, added to the fact that not many of them export out of Japan when they should, considering the tuner markets in North America, Australia and Europe.
