from what ive heard, the Comptech sway bar can decently improve handling...is this true, and are there any negatives about this product?

Do a search, there are several threads on this such as mine.

It does improved handling but I would only recommend it if you improve the other suspension components at the same time (ie better tires and lowering springs).
