Comptech Rear Sway Bar Instructions

Is there a DIY guide to installing the Comptech Rear Sway Bar?

Or is this a really easy install...where the Comptech instructions are good enough?

Thanks..guys!

It's very easy. Here's a clip from another post I made about the installation.

"...It took me 45 minutes with the help of a friend. We used 2 jacks in my garage (with stands). It helps to have 2 of you so that you can have one help you align everything when you go to put the new bar in. It is thicker to the extent that it barely fits into the OEM-accessible space. Having someone help you keep your endlinks in place while you try to crank the allen wrench is a big time saver.

Let's just say that the Comptech instructions are vague. Remove the ends before you remove the brackets. Put it back together starting with the ends and then do the brackets (otherwise you are going to have a bitch of a time lining up the new brackets. Other than that, there isn't much more advise to give...."

That help you out?

for the love of god use an allen wrench on the endlinks, the instructions don't mention that. took me forever to figure that out because I couldn't see jack under the car.

Here is another tip... If you want to prevent corrosion on bolts that expose to moisture or heat, apply a thin coating of anti-seize lubricant on the thread and you will not have problems removing them later.

If your endlinks are rusted like mine were, be careful not to strip the allen socket. I destroyed the allen socket in one of my rear endlinks. I used some lubricant on the other one and that side didn't present any problems.

So in short: spray some WD40 or something on the end links before you remove the nuts.
