Carbon Gray TSX Needs Summer Wheels Please help me
So when I bought my car new a few months ago, I had them put Blizzak snow tires on the car rather then the stock all seasons.
With March/April coming around the corner soon, I would like to purchase a whole new wheelset for the summer and use the Acura Stock rims with my snow tires.
1) I think with a Carbon Gray car, a carbon gray wheel would look good, thoughts?
2) I'm leaning toward 18 inch for performance but it really doesn't matter, I'm not going to go 19 or higher though.
3) I'd like to be under $400 for each rim and under $200 for each tire.
4) Using tirerack so far I like WedsSport SA-70 18x8 $339 WedsSport TC005 18x8 $329 and I have no idea on a tire (looking for a low road noise summer performance tire).
So i guess what are your thoughts on the WedsSports and is there anything else in a carbon gray I should be looking at that could be cheaper and better from a performance standpoint but not look too ghetto or kiddyish. I'd like to keep some of the class of the car and not make it look cheesy with some eccentric wheel. I'd like to stay conservative in that regard cause I'm not 21 yrs old.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Chris

The Goodyear Eagle F1-DS3 is a great tire and at the current price of 173 a tire is a steal. I paid 275 for my 19 inch version of that tire last year.

This would be my number 1 tire recommendation. I didnt even mention it before cause I knew they were like 210 last year in an 18 so I figured it was higher than you wanted to spend but since its only 173 that is seriously what I would get.

I think either of the 2 wheels you mentioned in your original post will look great.
these G Games always look good on TSX's IMO... http://www.wheelsdirectonline.com/ggames/sidewinder.htm

Well the wedsports arent actually carbon grey but I know what your saying, your looking for something in a grey or gunmetal color.
I say go with the light grey SA70s. Those were actually the wheels I was going to get for my CGP 06 before I decided on something else. Ive seen a set of those in bronze on a PWP tsx and they suit the car perfectly.

Or how about the new Rays G games 77m, they are offered in gunmetal.

its all a matter of prefrence. personally i would go higher than 17s. the ride is better and tires are considerably cheaper.
i really like the bridgestone turanzas LS tires they were 166 each in 17in and are probibly the best all season tire you can get.
the falken 512s are a good cheap entry level performance tire at under 100 each. they have excellent forward and sideway traction, but wear out fast. they also have a very thin sidewall making the ride seem like ur driving on jello, but lots of people love them.
