Best wheels for around $1k

I'm looking for stock replacement wheels (I plan to move my current tires to these rims), and I'd like to know what you all think would be the best for around $1k for the whole bunch. Obviously if there are some that you feel are just as good for less, that's great.

Thanks for the help, as I'm a new TSX owner and I just can't get used to the "white" look of the stock wheels.

but seriously just save until you can afford a quality set of wheels. A TSX deseve better than a 1k set of wheels

I want to put quality wheels on, but I'm not willing to EVER spend as much as $1k per wheel. There are plenty of quality wheels out there that cost less than that. Would you disagree? What do you recommend?

if you want quality wheels....you should be able to get some for a reasonable price....depending on the size and quality tire you want.....if you're looking for a 17" wheel, you should be able to find something you would like for close to that.....but to spend only 1k and expect quality also, that might be a stretch...if you were willing to shell out almost 30k for a quality car......you could handle 2-3k for some quality wheels for it...its not like it was a $14,000 kia brand new.....dont make it look like it

Correct me if i'm wrong, but can't you pick up the Acura extra rims for $1k? I like the Silver Stars, granted they are 17s, but still. They look nice and are different enough from stock...If all this guy is concerned about is having his rims look nice maybe he should check out Acura's own add-ons...

So what would you recommend.

Here, let's change the question. If you were getting new wheels for your brand new, 2006 TSX, which wheels would you get, assuming you would like to try not to buy the most expensive wheels out there?

I would just spend an extra couple hundred bucks and get the 18" Honda HFP rims and new tires.

Well, I don't know how picky you can be at $1k. What about some RJ Inspyres? They're right around $1k:

Man, I just keep looking and coming up with nothing. Alright, price is no object, just suggest some wheels. Anything but dark (chrome or aluminum preferred).

Have you checked Tirerack.com they got some nice set of wheels for decent price like BBS and Gram Lights 57s for around 200 each wheel so roughly around 1k for all 4 wheels. There're other brands but some are way too much for your budget.

I wouldn't get new rims without new tires... its a waste taking stock rubber off and putting it onto set of new wheels..

Yeah, I'm finding that 18s look better to me anyway, so that might be the route I take.

That being said, I still haven't found any wheels that really stick out to me. I know I'm picky, but I'm not going to spend $2 - 3k on a set of wheels and tires if I'm not 100% sure I'll love them.

Did you go to www.tirerack.com like i suggested? They have a function where you can pick the specific wheel that goes with the TSX they even show what the wheel looks like on the TSX. There's some good name brands there like Gram Lights which is made by Rays Engineering same company that makes the Volk Racing wheels. BBS are German brand they're pretty well known, same as O.Z. they're Italian brand. If you're looking to go JDM you can go with the Gram Lights since they're made in Japan.

Thats how I was but you have to look at it this way, you get some quality wheels and you have them for about 1 - 2yrs. Once you are tired of them just resell them. Key word is quality they retain value very well..

Absolutely, my biggest problem was that I don't know which are quality wheels and which are crap because I have no idea what to look for. But yes, there are some good ones there, and it helps a TON to be able to see them on the car.

it really depends on the look you want......most wheels coming from japan are quality wheels i.e. rays, work, etc.....there are also brands such as axis who make quality wheels.....one thing to remember, you get what you pay for...so if you find something and its like $100 per rim....and the exact same thing is $400 for the same thing but different manufacturer.....that should kinda signal you already....i've heard of brands such as rota, drag, even tenzo r cracking....just be real careful....like someone suggested, you could find something you like, post a pic, and i'm sure you'll get a lot of helpful responses
