Back to stock suspension and... jacked up??

OK,

So as most of you know I'm putting all my stock parts back on. So I did the suspension the other day and the car was high as hell! So I figured, ok it's probably just my mind, because the car was so low for so long.

Then I figured, ok maybe it needs to settle. However, after a few days now, it's still crazy high! I don't get it... The car drives perfectly though, no problems what so ever. So I figure there was nothing wrong with the install, otherwise I would feel it in the ride. So here's what I'm thinking and I was wondering if you guys had any answers.

1) I put on CCColts old shock/spring set. So is the 04 part # the same as the 05 for both of those parts?

2) Is the automatic tranny part number for the STOCK shocks the same as the manual? I know it is different for a-spec, I'm wondering about stock.

Anything else anyone can think of?

I would think that the stock springs are probably different too since the AT is a fair amount heavier than the MT.

I just did a quick check on Acura OEM Parts and found this for the front shock absorber.

2005 6MT

Part number: 51605-SEC-A04

2004 5AT

Part number: 51605-SEC-A02

So I guess they are different part numbers for the stock shocks too.

Ok, I just went and checked, and the difference is only like 90lbs... would 90lbs really make that much of a difference?

We'll see on Sunday. Worse comes to work, you'll have to find a buyer for that AT suspension, but at least you'll have a factory MT suspension available to you right there for you to purchase.

I really doubt carmax would even notice it at all. I doubt they will notice the window trim you have too still. I had never thought about the suspensions being different though. Someone will buy the car and lower it or it will be some old lady and she wont care.

So when I saw it today, we measured it and it was indeed about a 1/2-inch higher than a stock suspension. Not enough for someone like carmax or even the average buyer to notice, but certainly enough for any of us enthusiasts.

I just measured 27" from ground to fender lip at my rears, and 27 3/8 & 27 1/2 at my fronts, with stock 06 suspension, and very low mileage on the car.
