Advan rims

I recently ordered some Tork imagine 18x8 rims and have been waiting for them for about 2 months.
Within this time, i fell in love with the Advan T7 rims.
I think that i might actually cancel my order for the Tork rims and order the Advans.
My question now is, should i go with 18x7.5 with 45et or 18x8 with 45 et?
Im leaning toward the 18x8 but i dont want them to stick out to much.
All input on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks godfather2
One more question...
Will the rims stick out past the wheel well?

18x8 would be better choice and it won't stick out unless low offset...

18x8s are not necessarily better - it's all personal preference. I chose to go with 18x7.5s for my Advans because I wanted to minimize weight/rotational mass. However, I can see why someone would want to choose 18x8s instead (larger contact patch = better grip, more flush with fenders, etc).

The weather has been stupid here on the weekends (rainy), so I haven't been able to snap any pics yet. Hopefully by the end of May, this rainy pattern will have lifted.

They will be coming, as soon as I get them.
I ordered the Tork's about 2 and half months ago and they have barely shipped, so now i have to pay about $400 to send them back.
I will be ordering the Advans today and once I get them on, I will definitely post some pics for you guys.

BTW, thank you for all your feedback and help, especially you tsx536, you sold me on the 18x8 with 45et with your pictures. Your ride is flawless and i appreciate your pictures.

Well, after a fight with 1010tires.com and a file of dispute with my credit card company, I ordered the Dark Silver Metallic Advan T7's in 18x8 with 45et wrapped in 225/40/18 Toyo T1-R tires.
I appreciate everyones input and I will post pics as soon as I get them.
It might be a while until I post pictures because I had to special order them from Japan and it is suppose to take 60-90 days.

Kenny prefers the 8" wide wheel because we all know that he is supercharged :P

quick question for those who have 18x8 rims...
would you recommend 225/40/18 tires or 235/40/18 tires?
I saw pictures with an 18x8 rims with 225/40/18 tire and it looks like the rim sticks out past the tire.
Does it really stick out that much?

with a 235 tire you have a lil more sidewall, the tires not really gonna be any wider. 235 is closer to stock overall diameter than a 225 series tires, but not by much. if you go lower than 1.75" then i would def reccomend the 225. if your higher than that, 235 will fill the wheel gap just right w/o rubbing at all

I know what you mean, the weather is'nt very stable here in Toronto either, I am running 18x8's with a 45+ offset, also wrapped in 225, 40. 18's refer to some of my other threads if you want to see pictures. Anyway they look great, perfect match for the car.

Looks sweet! What size of tires are you running by the way? I've been thinking lowering the car and adding some 18" x 8" Tenzo R Type M (Black/Red) wheels, I know 235/40/18 would match the revs more, but what size are you running, because that's exactly how I'd like the tire to sit on the wheel!
