Which 225/45/17 ??

Choices are:

1. Avon Tech M500 - at 102.00
2. BFGoodrich GSport at 95.00
3. General Exclaim UHP at 73.00

I dont want to spent much.
Currently I own 215/50/17 in Avon M500 and they are good.

Your comments please

Thank's

although the 225/45 will give close to a 25" over diameter as you see..very few "good" choices.

225/40 will give you just over 24" diameter and you will have a wide array of choices..even the very good and inexpensive azenis rt-615.

it might be a matter of looks though...some like a beefier tire that takes up some wheel gap, and gives a softer ride.

I've had the BF G-Sports and they held up well. Performance is comparable to Yokohama ES100's.

I have ES100s 225/45-17s and it is nearly enough to throw off the speedo. But none-the-less, I will be going Tech M500s. Buddy of mine got them recently and they are VERY NICE. ES100s, though great for the money, are getting to be dated technology.

euroR's have a 215 45 17.

Ever thought of trying that?

Speedo will be off a bit, but nothing too major.

There is a great selection in that size and your aceleration will benefit a bit as well. Its like a mini final drive.

225/50-17s are darn near the same as stock Revs per mile as well.

I'm not "mr. know it all" but won't it be off by a lot?
And the EuroR's have a diff motor with a different gearing ratio too, that's why that size works for them
