TSX vs. Chevy....
...Venture!!! I was coming up on a double turn lane today with a Chevy Venture minivan in the rightmost left turn lane. I didnt want to get stuck behind a soccer mom going 15 in a 45 zone, so I took the leftmost left turn lane, figuring I could easily get by the minivan when the light turned green.
When it did, however, they guy (yes, it was a guy) gunned his engine. I wasn't expecting a race, and he got a good couple second head start on me. I gunned the TSX. He wasn't going to let me in, so I put it to the floor and eventually got around him.
I checked the stats on the Venture...is got a V-6, but with only 185HP. Dunno about the torque, etc., or what the guy was thinking racing with a minivan, but chalk another victory to the mighty TSX....

I was thinking, lucky that wasn't an 05 Ody or he wouldn't have got in.

He did have me for the first hundred feet (whether due to my poor start or his torque). I think if we had started together, I would have got him coming out of the turn (I'd have to believe that the Venture doesnt do turns like the TSX).
Hey, isn't there a guy (Provench?) with an '05 Ody and a TSX....he should grab a buddy and see which one is faster!

My mom goes crazy in her minivan, its a red '01 Town & Country Limited. She rarely does below 85 on the highway and drives it like the Mustang she grew up driving. One time I was with her she got into a race with an A4 3.0.....she won even though he had a faster car he couldn't negotiate traffic for his life. She really is crazy, her friends in high school called her"Mary Andretti" surprisingly she's only gotten 2 speeding tickets ever

Minivans suck, at least most of the drivers do. Seems like all the ones I see are racing the friggin' things. They drive fast, weave in and out of traffic, and are a total pain in the arse.
Those are the ones who realized what they did and now try to make up for it.
