TSX vs 98 camero?

soo i was cruisin home.. bored.. then i noticed this camero who was driving kinda sporty. so i sped up and passed him... he then finally caught up to me.. and we had 3 trials....
he didnt want to go any slower than 80.. and before i started actually racing me i had so many doubts.. since it was a domestic.. i figured i'd already lose...

but we had 3 good runs from 80 up to 130ish..
i downshifted to fourth.. and left it there and waited til he would start going...
he pushed it then i flooooored it.. lol. i kept up with him until i started to hit about 5k near vtec.. i started to pass him.. halfway into fifth i was already passed him by half a car....
is this right!?
i slowed way down.. and rolled down my window and said.. "you've gotta be kidding.. are you really trying!?" he was just nodding and i guess surprised... but i think i'm more surpised...

was this really plausible?
anyone know the specs on a normal 98 camero?

man if only i HAD hondata...

must have been a V6/automatic. Any LS1 camaro would run away from anything less than a highly modded supercharged TSX.

Stock LS1 runs a 13.6 - 14.00 , I have not yet seen a sub 14sec tsx. Basically we have no chance w/o spray

An 06+ 6mt with bolt ons will do mid 14's in the quarter...saw a kid doing it last summer. Add a supercharger kit on top of that and you would easily be into the 13's at 100+ mph. That would hang pretty well with a stock LS1 Camaro/Firebird.

Yeah that thing was a V6, that goes without saying. Those V6's of that ERA in the GM line-up are turds by todays standards. Think of it like you beat a LeSabre.
