TSX on track v2 - Laguna Seca!
My TSX returns to the track, but this time at Laguna Seca! Just like last time, here's a nice GPS picture at the end of the day (sorry, lazy to resize, so just click on the pic)

Some comments about the day:
Track conditions:
GREAT DAY! Clear, sunny and a clean track. Recient rain had slightly messed up the edges of the track, but not a problem if you didn't go off. Track was less abrasive than buttonwillow.
My Car:
Bone stock 06 TSX 6MT. Trying to wear out the stock pads and tires before replacing them with Hawks & summers.
Stock brakes are not good enough, I'll need new fluid before going out again. Stock brakes stop great the first few zones, but slowly become weaker and finally mushy (possible boiling).
3rd gear is not quite long enough for this track, I ended up running out of gear a bit too early before several braking points. Worked gears 2, 3 and 4 quite a bit during the day. Max speed on the straight before turn 2 and before turn 8 was at most 90 mph. The straights are uphill, if they were not, 105-110 would have been easy.
I easly out paced my friend in a 2000 5 series... then I found out his V6 only puts out 197 hp
A bonus picture from the day!

I few of us plan on going back with a different group on the 12th of march. We'll have my TSX and a 07 Civic Si coupe. If anybody is interested, let me know and I'll send you the info to sign up. Let's get more TSXs out there!

I have similar issues when tracking my Integra Type-R. Solution is short shifting, you do not always need to shift at redline I was doing that every time in one section of Moroso here in FL last month.

Also, 4th gear on the uphills wasen't too good unless you shifted from 3rd around 6k. The RPM drop was pretty big, and short shifting at 5K would put you below the power band of the motor

TSX_831, I'm up in Santa Rosa. My friend came up from LA.
