TSX at redlinetrackevent's streets of willow race course

My friend's ITR and his gf's mazadaspeed protege, and my car ^^.

About 40 cars showed up last friday and the event was amazing.... With so few cars that day, we all got extra time on the track. It was pretty fun, I let the main instructor for redline, jeremy, drive my car and he liked it alot lol. He's another honda nut and drives a modded crx. The other instructors had a S2000 and a bunch of ford focuses cause i think they get sponsored by ford to run the focuschallenge. Anyways, im glad even though ford gives them cars, some of the instructors still choose to take their honda out. I recommend all mt tsx owners to track their cars, it's alot more fun than drag racing.

Oh yeah, I went drag racing too and my 1/4 mile times were all in the low 16's LOL.... this was before my kosei rims and fuzion tires but I had my injen CAI which made me dissappointed. I'm sure im in the high 15's now with much better tires and 40lbs loss from rims. After upgrading my tires and wheels, my gtech pro 0 - 60 time went down from 7.5 to 7.2. Hopefully after I get a single exhaust and header to take off another 30lbs and add a few ponies, I'll be at high 6's and mid 15's. And then the coup de grace will be hondata and a dyno....

Speaking of fuzion tires, they performed very well on the track. Almost as grippy as falken azenis my friends were running, but could've been cause their cars were lighter than mine. Seriously guys, get out of your neighborhood and give the TSX some exercise in an open course. You will have a loooooooooot of fun.

ITR
He's ITR has been heavily modded over 5 years just for tracking lol. I'm lucky I have an experienced car friend helping me out with everything from choosing the best track upgrades to how to change my mt fluid with synchromesh. You guys should try the synchromesh, ITR forum members called the synchromesh the "the wonder oil" cause it worked really well with honda transmissions. It's suppose to get rid of honda's 1-2 notch and i seriously think it helped alot smoothing out my 1 - 2 shifts.

Oh yeah, I went drag racing with them too, the ITR's best time 1/4 was 15.1. His gtech pro meter 0 - 60 is 6.2. I think the stock type R was around 6.7 since the GSR was 7.2. The mazadaspeed is stock because it already came with so many aftermarket parts but it did the same 1/4 and 0 - 60 as my modded TSX.

Damn...I haven't been out to the streets of willow in ages. I really enjoyed running that track in a modded Integra...

I almost went to that event, but decided to back out since my friend (he's one of the Redline's instructors) couldn't make it. I may go to their next event which is on January 21, 05. If I decide to go, I'll be going in my Prelude.

Who's hosting the event? I think you're talking about Buttonwillow? If so, I'll be there in May with Redline also, and again....in the Prelude.

Buttonwillow, i think is the one... do you know if they have an april event? I think may's getting kinda late... won't the tracks in the deserts start heating up in May? why dont you go in april when it's cooler for you and your car?

Stock vs. Stock: I would imagine that the ITR is faster around the track than the Prote-gay. I had a 98 ITR that would out do a lot of cars that were considered to be competitors around the track (even when it was stock).

No, they don't have an event at Buttonwillow in April. I think they do have an April event, but at Streets of Willow again. I usually go with Redline because I know most of the instructors and the organizers.
