Here's a slide show of my TSX in autocross. You'll need apple's Quictime player to view.

Well, yeah, I'll be in a different class...
Anyways, TSX can run with most but not the nimbler cars. It's quite impossible to keep up with a Mini Cooper S, for example.
I think I ended up in 4th or 5th place, out of 10 or 12, I think.
Anyways, a couple of after thought:
1. The tires perform a lot better than I expected. The Pirelli P Zero Nero is really worth every penny. Excellent grip, progressive lose of traction, and wear pretty good too.
2. With the tire pressure set at 39F, 40R, the tail of the car managed to drift out a little to help rotation. FDL, you mentioned in your other thread that you get a lot of understeer, but I really can't see why. We should get together to talk about it sometimes.
3. BRAKES!!!!! That's it, I am so fed up with the brakes. The ABS's threshold is setup way too low. Just the tiniest gravel triggers the ABS. And then it took ages for it to stop working! On my last run, I tried to brake late into the corner but then the ABS started kicked in (normal) but won't stop working! I actually have to brake into the corner! SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Nose dive!! The nose dive like crazy on hard braking, making the weight shift very abrupt.
5. LSD would be a nice addition. The inner wheel kept slipping on the exit of corner, and used up precious time.

Let's see,
1st gen Saturn SC2(?), Dodge Neon, Celica GT, 97 Maxima SE, Mazda MPS. Can't remember the rest.
Bring your Cooper S! It's a very competitive car in the class (G-Stock). That car's bad ass in autocross.

mx100, according to your sig you have 3 not-inexpensive cars, but you need your parents' permission to go autocrossing? I don't get it. Something doesn't compute...
TSXautoXer, does the MCS run in the same class as the TSX, is that why you say it's impossible to keep up with it? Or just that it's faster overall?

mx100, I think I get it. When I lived at home we were fairly flexible about who drove what. I don't think my dad would have been too keen on racing one of the family cars either. Still, autoX is about the safest form of racing you'll find, if anything has a chance of getting parental approval, it's that.

Hahah. My parents weren't too happy with me when I used the family full-size Ford van to go off-roading in (it wasn't much of a "race-car" ) when I was in high school. When I got it stuck so bad I had to leave it overnight in the boonies, they restricted my driving priveleges for a year!

When I was in high school, I used the family car (brand new Olds) for a rollover "experiment". Ouch. "Your father's Oldsmobile" brings up special memories for me. So anyhow, I called home and said "I need help - the car is in the ditch". Dad hangs up and comes rushing over with a towchain - I guess with all the excitement I'd neglected to mention the car was "shiny side down'" as they say.

I wish I could take some pictures of MCS running, than you guys will notice how flat that car corners, comparing to TSX's slight bodyroll...

Actually, I haven't push the car enough. Hope I can do that soon. I am still fighting my instinct going: gentle, gentle, gentle....(RWD driving mentality)...

from my experience with the MCS! I can tell u that there is almost no bodyroll!! and due to the short wheelbase it handles great! it's super fun to drive! it's suepr fun for me already, I can't wait till I get better @ standard and master the art of heel and toe!
