Arrow Shannonville Full Track Lapping – June 11th Sunday evening

Shannonville Full Track lapping day – June 11th, 6:00 - 9:00 pm, Sunday evening ---- Signup Sheet

Hello all,

We have the track Saturday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 pm booked, cost will be $75 of prepaid for each participant.

FULL (Long) Track Map

I am limiting the track day to about 32-35 cars, so that it gives you plenty of room on the track while keeping the crowd down.

We will have a short briefing prior to getting out on the track, followed by a few warm up laps, then lapping for the rest of the day. "Lapping" refers to just that, doing laps. Passing is STRICTLY prohibited except on the back straight, and only when the person in front of you has allowed you by signaling you to pass. We reserve all rights to kick people off the track that are driving dangerously and/or aren't listening to track marshalls.

For those that have never been to the track, I encourage you to try it out, even if you're still on stock tires

All those interested in attending this track day on June 11th,

Kindly post and sign up in this thread. And email me your contact info.

Include first and last name, car type
i.e.
- My name is
- I drive:
- I will drive my car at the track on June 11th.

Helmets are not mandatory, but you will have to sign a disclaimer at the track. (if you have helmets, it won't hurt to bring them up).

All those interested please sign up or email me asap. I want to build a list and collect prepaid track fee as soon as I can.

Prepaid: $75
After June 1st or At the track: $100

Pls signup for prepaid to reserve your spot asap and We don't accept anymore participants when all spots are filled.

** All prepaid no later than June 1st, Thursday **

Please contact Kevin@ 416-5649999 if you would like to pay the track fee in person in GTA. Whoever wants to pay the track fee by , Email Transfer, Paypal or Money order, the email address is "Kevin@subarism.com".

* June 11th Meet and Departure Details will be released on June 8th*

Mugen, how far is the track outside of T.O?

Mapquest is showing about 2.5 hrs, is that correct?

Also, how many of the 35 cars are allowed on the track at once? Looks like me and another car are in for sure but I'll let you know for certain sometime this weekend.

You can get there under 2hrs, assuming you speed 130ish..... although, there are some great safe straights good for 200+

Name is Blitz.

PM soopa, Astroboy or Scrib to have your named changed.

Is it kind of feminine.

Yeah, just use the private message function and ask for a username change. I'd try Scrib or Astroboy. Soopa is usually busy.

Dom - if you go, do you plan on filming it from inside your TSX?

If not, does any other member plan on getting some video? We sure could use some track footage here on AZ.

Not 100% sure I'm going. Buddy with the S2k is too scared he'll get hit. (so am I am really but oh well )

But ya, I thought about that. I guess I could mount the vid cam on a tripod and somehow put it in the backseat. I'll definently film a few laps if I go.

Assuming the people running it manage it well, you shouldn't have to worry about getting hit, esp. on the Long Track setup. As long as you drive safe (read: allow experienced/competitive drivers to pass you), it should be a pretty fun experience.

There was an Echo came to Kevin's Mosport DDT track day 2005, it has some mods, suspension and R-compounds, it is light and prompt, definitely not a slow one on the track. I m sure that can LAP a stock TSX definitely. That driver has an Evo 8 in his US home and a STi in Toronto, his Echo is just for day drive to school.

So, did anyone put a clock on a TSX? 2:20 (in years gone by) felt like a good time for a 91 Civic Si, with top track speed at 175 kph, and 60-series OEM rubber.
