raced my buddys rsx
I have a 06 A/T tsx. My friend has a stock 06 rsx type-S. Before my reflash he would smoke me no problem. After my reflash we raced 3 times and it was basicly dead even until we stoped at 110mph. I would say this is pretty good since the tsx stock is slow.

Same thing for me my friend rsx type-s was a car length ahead before reflashed. I was dead even when I just got the hang of my reflash. I keep forgetting redline is 7600 and not 7200... haha

At first I was going to call
But I realized you specified 'RSX' -- I guess you're referring to the base model, right?
When my 6MT had only CAI/Hondata, my co-worker would beat me by at least a car length with his K-pro'ed 2004 RSX-S through the end of 2nd gear.
After I added a header and RSX gears, we're almost dead even and it becomes a drivers race.

We didn't go from a dead stop. We went from a first gear roll every time to reduce the influence of the driver.

i believe after reading his first post, that the rsx he raced was a type-s but stock, while his 06 AT has that list of mods....
i can believe it, a 02 stock rsx-s vs MT 04 tsx, the rsx-s would edge about 3 car lengths on me (friends car vs mine old tsx).... when i was with injen, hondata, light wheels, it would be a drivers race.... once the rsx-s had any mods it was over....

As I specified in the first post is we werent racing from a dead stop. It was a 40 mph roll. I would say the tsx is more of a top end vehicle. And my buddy isnt experianced in racing, but isnt that bad either, so I would say that has something to do with it.

the rsx-s has better top end, the tsx has better lower end (more torque at lower rpm vs the k20) at 40mph he wasn't in vtec while you were puling cause of the torque availiable at 5500 rpm or whatever you were at.

I played around with an RSX Type-S on a long boring road trip a while back, and to be perfectly honest it was pretty uneventful. Our quick little runs from 60-ish to 80-ish were pretty much a draw. He would climb a little ahead at first but I'd do the same towards the end. I attributed this to the speeds at which we had to change gears... It seemed like he came out of 3rd (I assume) while I was still winding mine up. Overall I'd estimate we were pulling nearly identical "G's". Perhaps at lower speeds his weight advantage would've gained more ground on me from the start?
His car was not completely stock--I was able to hear his exhaust note better than I could hear my own engine.

Dead stop my friend's rsx type -s beat my 05 at without hondata, I had too much wheel spin while he was just straight out.
Haven't tried him with hondata from a start, but I probably have more wheel spin and he would just launch straight out again.
