I went to the track again today (7/30/04)...i had about 5 runs.. my first run i ran a 15.5 with lots of wheel hop... second run ran a 15.7 but didnt have time to set a launch rpm!.. third run i ran a 15.2!

This is with Injen CAI and DC Header and it was pretty humid out..at 6:37pm

I could do better..i just dumped the clutch at 3K rpms...next time i go to the track im gonna feather it out..i think i ran a pretty good time when i feathered the clutch but the track didnt record my time because they said the computer wasnt working at that time..that sucked! I beat a VW GLI with the 1.8T on that run..i beat him by about a car..he had intake and a Blow off Valve..his first run he said he ran a 16.2 and i beat a 2001 to 2004 Eclipse with just an intake and header V6..he was runnging 15.2's but my time was lower.

 

That was an outstanding launch! See, you got it hooked right from the start. It makes a world of difference.

I need to go back to the tracks now.

BTW are you still running the stock tires?

 

Wow, that's pretty impressive... especially considering that some 3G TL 5AT owners are running low 15's, some rare cases, high 14's.

What tires are you running on?

 

Stock Tires with almost 25K miles on them...i really think i can run atleast 14.9 with these stock tires..im going next saturday to try it out..it was pretty humid out though
