Last night after the suns game I lined up next to a pt turbo. I stayed with him into second gear but then slowly he pulled away...

You didn't say but probably fair to assume you were doing that on public roads doing the classic stop-light "drag race" huh?

street racers :shakehead

If you insist to street race, should've picked your fight with a non-turbo PT:
150hp @ 5100rpm
165lb-ft @ 4000rpm

I know I need to wear the flame suit, but turbo PTs aren't that fast. I've seen em at the tracks, and they were pulling only low 15s. I suspect their gearing is a lot less aggressive than SRT4 counterparts.

how dare you talk bad about the pt! that's one of the coolest cars ever created, especially for "big-boned" women!

don't worry sauce, i don't think anyone here's going to flame you for knockin' pts. knock 'em all you want.

Not really surprised you lost.

Thats all they weigh

BTW people, there are two versions of the PT Turbo. The 215HP ver and the 180HP ver. I wonder which one this was.

EDIT: We used to have a mod around here, schollol, that owned a PT. Had the racing flames and everything.

Well, the GT model has the 215 HP and comes with 17-inch wheels. The PT Cruiser Limited has an optional turbo engine producing the 180 HP and only has 16-inch wheels. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this was a GT model.
