Irwindale Speedway 1/8 Mile run report......................!!!!

quick fact, My car, 04 TSX, bone stock, 5AT, with Mobile 1 synthetic oil. 31000 miles, 2 years old. Ran 1/8 miles at Irwindale speedway.

Reaction Time 0.207
60 FT 2.615
330FT 7.173
1/8 Mile 10.877 sec
MPH 66.81 MPH

Start in Sport shift mode, torque braking, starting RPM 2000 (wont let me go higher) floored the car upon 3rd light, tire just a slight chirp and off it went. no slipping. Red lined in 1st gear to 7500 RPM, then 2nd gear all the way, no need for 3rd gear.

Ran against my co workers dodge srt 4, he had burned out, so only reached 75.76 MPH.
20 bucks get you in, as many run as you want to

oh snaps! thats about as fast as my old Civic. I went there 2 yrs ago in my bone stock 96 Civic EX coupe 5spd. It had ebay cold air intake. The best I did was 10.8sec in the 1/8 as well... as a comparision, my buddy did 10.1 in his 2000 Honda Civic SI EM1...

well...atleast my tsx is just as fast as my old car =]

What does a fast car run the 1/8 mile in?

I've never heard of 1/8 mile runs.

Well the top fuel dragsters can run in the 4s and 5s on the quarter, so it all depends on what you mean by fast car.

Too bad $20 can't get you a full road course.

If it makes you feel better, I smoked some kid with a modded up Scion Tc the other day in my 6MT. He actually hung through 1st gear due to the stupid Michelens not being able to get traction after hitting a bump with VSA off. In the middle of 2nd, I was gone.

After that, I felt embarrased for racing a Scion.

You left the line a bit too early? Did you get a red light? How many runs did you get? 10.8 sec is alright. I ran there several years ago in my Prelude (before the motor rebuild), I ran in the low 10s. And I broke a motor mount some where during one of the 3 runs I took.

It's possible that it's not a net calculation for his RT. One track close to my place works this way. You'll get a foul if you go below 0.000.

On my Accord, motor mounts used to be what would go as well, along with axles. Better that than clutch or tranny I guess.

I'm pretty sure anything under .50 for RT is a red light under the Thursday night open races at Irwindale.

So then his RT was actually 0.707, or else it would be written "FOUL" on his timeslip.
