Friday night i was driving in Bensalem Pennsylvania and was stopped at a traffic light. I had my window slightly open and a VW hatch (i think year 2000) was riding by slowly and i heard the guy say.. "It's still slow!" . Now the younger me would've found a way to turn around and catch up to him and demand him to prove it! But it just made me laugh! Im getting old! or should i say "more mature?" Or maybe i agreed with him at the time?? I've been driving like an old man lately. I haven't been speeding and have been watching cars drive by me and it feels so weird but im use to it now. I dont have "the need for speed" anymore! I just want my car to be faster.. sounds crazy right? Just wanted to share my story..but i know i'll go fast if really tempted.

 

VW's are slow too from that era lol. But, I've been driving slow for years now and I'm only 22 so don't feel too old if it lasted for you longer than me. I feel the same way you do, just make the car a bit faster, have fun doing it, and have something that is a bit more unique than the typical TSX people hauler you see around town.

 

I'm impressed by you guys. Take it from someone who not only feels old (sometimes), but actually is old (old to be your father anyway), it's OK to slow down. It's pretty much a win, with no downside. Feel free to exercise the car once in a while, but otherwise you'll be better off for not driving like a mad man all the time. Oh, and don't worry, you've got absolutely nothing to prove to some dolt in an old VW.
