Yea..i beat him..thats when i ran a 16.1 and he ended up running 17! And its crazy because he was in the B2 bracket which is 14.00 to 14.99 and i was in the B1 bracket which was 15.00 and slower..alot of cars were running low numbers..a couple RSX-s were running high 15's. Not tryin to blame the heat due to my low times..but something wasnt right. Never thought i'd see 16's again!! And both of the runs felt like really good runs..just had low numbers.

That question scares me! How would i know?? Shifts felt like usual...could hot and humid weather cause this? It was my first run and before that..the car sat for about 20mins..and again for about 30mins and ran lower than the first! I just think it was the humidity and the heat.. I must've lost like 20lbs that day! I left after my second run because i wasn't gettin any faster..makin my car look slower than it is!

Actually, heat is a main factor which will affect performance. The ECU reduces fuel and retards timing when the IAT sensor is hot. That's why I'm doing everything possible to keep the intake air cooler.

I was trying to figure out why you wouldn't get anything better than a 2.5 60', and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have anything to do with engine performance, it has all to do with mechanical grip.

If the track is real hot, normally the tires should offer really good traction unless they're blisteringly hot. But for you to have a 2.5 (assuming you had the same technique that gave you your 15.2), there had to be some slippage somewhere. It happenned to me with the clutch once. I nearly roasted it off the line. It grabbed only at 6k, while I had dumped the clutch at 3k.

I was there, this was my first honda/acura meet ever since I left the dsm crowd. I had to say, I was let down. As soon as I arrived and sat down, a civic goes 12.44 and the crowd gasps with amazement..I looked around thinking wtf? I guess it's a good thing I'm not trying to race my TSX.

I dont know what was going on.. when i go again and this happens again..then something must be wrong..but if it doesnt..then i guess it must've been the heat?.. We'll see

Never been to the tracks? You need a helmet to race or...YOU CANT RACE!.. tank was like 1/4 ...taking out the spare does nothing! I just think it was too hot and humid!!.. If this happens again on a cooler day then something is wrong with my car!..

I've been to the track many times, up here you don't need a helmet unless you can break 13.

it's the same over here, once you're in the 11's, you need a helmet and a cage.
