fun w/ a g35

so i'm driving home from the other side of the bay around 1115 pm this evening on a lonely bridge. i notice some high beams flashing in my rear view and i assume another ricer fly by is going to ensue (this happens to me ALL the time).

anyways, a kid in a 1st gen g35 sedan (auto) pulls up beside me and asks if my car was in super street magazine? i felt like saying, "damn, didn't know i was famous" lol.

we did a friendly run from about 55-95mph and i pulled about 1.5 ahead of him. honestly, i felt like going faster because it's been soooo long but we both kinda shut down as another car was a few hundred yards up ahead. we exchanged a few short words, a smile, and head on our respective ways

i attribute this victory, if you can even call it that, to throttle response: pulleys, hondata, and my custom 4-1 header got me in front and kept me there. fyi, i was in ss but don't know about him.

it was definitely an adrenaline rush to get a little competitive and hit vtec, which i haven't done in weeks (not kidding).

stay safe,

vinny

ps. if all goes as planned, the tsx will be in another's hands this sunday

I've been wanting to find a first gen "G" to run ever since I got my blower, and I still haven't found a willing participant... meh. Nice run Vin.

Nice! I took a 1st gen G35 coupe in my 05 TL and I was all stock except for a drop-in K&N filter. He either didnt know how to drive or shift but I was about 1.5 in front too. Now, my own pops is my next match...my 08 TL-S vs his 06 G35 coupe with Nismo intake. Who will win?
