A4 Kill - 2.8 V6

Didnt even know it was a race until we both pulled hard. Pretty much even until I pulled into 3rd. Started to open the gap after that. I'll tell ya, vtec is all the difference. If I didnt have that second wind at the top, who knows. Didnt know anything about the 2.8, so when I saw that I thought "holy shit". When I got to work, I saw the specs: 190 HP, 207 ft/lb torque. Fairly even, drivers race. I think he had the tiptronic. 6MT pwnz you...

Pulled up to the light and the guy asked what I had. Just told him a stock 200 with an intake. He was impressed. I may have caused him to be the next A4 to TSX convert

NICE KILL INDEED! Consider that A4 at least would have a better pull initially since its a AWD. Thats when where our infamous I-VTEC comes in...

Tried the same with a small 'race' against my friend's S4... eh... lost site of him after a few seconds :-) I know, not an even match against 344HP and Quattro. Incredible power, but I prefer my Euro's looks and interior over the S4 (but yes, I'd like that power....)

That car wasn't necesarily AWD. The majority of the a6 2.8s were FWD i believe. It's impressive none the less because that updated 2.8 liter engine with 5 valves per cylinder was no slouch, especially because of the low curb weight. If it was fwd it weighed in at under 3100lbs

Your not stock! CAI is a mod...Short Shifter is a mod... i dont know too much about the Audi's (i was gonna get an A4 1.8T) but i thought the A4's only came with the 1.8T? But your saying it was an A4 2.8??

Yea, I figured it was a 2001. Too bad I didnt have much time to talk to him.

If it was AWD, wouldnt it be badged with Quattro somewhere? Didnt see it...

The engine is STOCK. Thats why I told him stock engine with an intake. Ok, so I had a few things that might have given me a slight advantage

You thougt wrong. A 2001 had a 2.8 V6, after that they came with either a 1.8T, or a 3.0 V6
