*note it is a 2005 525i anything more powerful and i would call on myself*
So I'm leaving the theater after watching the Fantastic 4 (Jessica Alba is ) and feeling the need for a lil' speed...I come to a light planning on taking off quick but not racing anyone at the same time a white 525i...I didn't even look over and I gun it off the line not floored but quick and gradually floored it...I look over and he's at my back door...so I floor it and take it up to 7100 (I shifted early)...still have the half car on him....2nd same thing we go over a slight hilland I look ahead and the lights red and I hit the brakes at about 70....he flies by me and has to slam on the brakes locking up his tires to save himself from running the light ...and I come to a nice easy stop shortly behind him...obviously taunting because I just defeated the all mighty BMW in pretty much a 1/4 mile (not by much but it still counts)
Cliff Notes: raced and beat '05 bmw 525i by half car length in just short of a 1/4 mile...just wanted to share

 

Let's hope that its not Jessica Alba in that 525i....

 

is the 325 engine the same engine or just the same size as the 525?

 

2005 and before 325 engine is same size and HP and torque as current 525

new 2006 style 325 is actually 3.0 liter now.. 215 hp..

 

Man.... E39 525i.... a 2.5l to move 4000lb! I dun think a 525 will ne faster than 320i!

 

yeah you beat him but am sure he'll walk away from you given it another 5 miles or so because his beemer is very stable at high speed.

 

Actually it's a little over 3400 lbs.

The 525 is slow..it's an overpriced whip like any non M series Bimmer
