4 cyl, sedan competetion?

as far as drag racing, road circuit, anything with NA 4 cyl sedan that can compete with TSX?

i'm thinking pre gen integra GSR sedan, Sentra spec V(sedan?), 2.5 altima. any other thoughts?

remember must be NA and sedan

Bet the Mazda3s would put up a decent fight. 160 hp, but quite a bit lighter.

on a size similar basis I would say definitely not. The m6i could plausibly outhandle the tsx but it would not acclerate nearly as well.

Even the sentra v-specs which ahve a 2.5 liter engine and weight 400+ lbs less can't hang with a tsx through a quarter mile(time slips) but i'm sure they would knock the piss out of one on a autocross track.

I think the last article I read had the Jetta GLS 1.8T at 0-60 in 6.9 and the 1/4 in 15.7 @ 89mph. So it would hang with the TSX but not really dominate it. Mind you that 1.8T engine is a sweetheart to tune.

not so fast mr. martin,

remember must be NA/ A4, Jetta, Golf use 1.8T.

I agree the mazda 3 sedan will be tough.

the mazda 6 is just as heavy, and engine, tranny and suspension not up to snuff. after i put my compech rear bar and yokos or kumhos, i'll let you know who i can smoke on the course.

anyone know any road tracks in NE? i know englishtown is building one, but i don't know when it will be open. also, do you need roll cage to race on track for time?

You don't need a roll cage just a helmet. Certain kitcars and prototype racers will need a roll cage and 5-point harness but not production cars. If you were racing in a series it might be a different story but for open lapping you'll be fine.

NO!!!

Depending on the organization, some will allow M-rated (motorcycle) helmets. But most will require SA-rated (special applications, namely automobiles) helmets.

325i. Not 4-cyl, but similar displacement.

Does it have to be USDM? In UK, you get a Civic 4-door hatchback with the K20 engine.

Which is faster, the TSX or the Accord Euro-R?

Doesn't the Euro-R CL7 have a 220HP engine?
