Window Failure
Window Failure
Three of my windows quit rolling down about midways through the summer. When i attempt to roll the window up I can hear a click at the window switch itself but nothing happens. It is hard to believe that I have had motor failure with 3 different motors all at the same time. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
It is a TSX 2005.

Did all three stop at the same time? If that's the case check the lock switch. If not, you could have broken the window regulator which you would hear a grinding/clicking noise but to have all three break at the same time is either impossible or just very very bad luck.
I left window partially down in my 07 Accord and power windows quit. Pulled car in garage and let dry overnight and the problem went away. The master window control panel is apparently very sensitive to moisture. Your TSX probably has same control panel.
If you can get window down or pull door panel off, set a hair dryer on warm and blow for 4-6 hrs on the control panel.
good luck

All three went at the same time, the lock button itself is not engaged, but it could be stuck. I have not had time to check that.
Also I need to restate my original post, I can roll my driver window down, but when i try to use the switch at the driver side it will not allow any of the passenger windows to roll down. The click i spoke of is a click noise i can hear coming from the corresponding switch/door, to the switch i press.

No i can not roll the windows down from the passenger side switches either. I am trying to test to verify that the windows will roll down by jumping power from a 12 volt battery. to verify that the motors are working. Also do you know if the A01( only the switch bank) will work with my A02?

Head2John, I an currently having the EXACT same problem as you with my 2008 TSX. I actually found this forum as a result of google-ing my problem. My car is currently at the dealer and they are trying to figure out what is wrong with it.
The main switch was replaced yesterday and did not solve the problem. When I talked to my "Service Consultant" yesterday on the phone, he seemed a little stumped as to what the problem with it is. Luckily, this all is covered under my extended warranty.
I will post any new information as soon as I speak with him again. Until then, I will be driving my loaner 2011 Lexus hs250h.

I have confirmed that the motors do work, I ran a wire from some add-on lights i did, and the windows rolled up and down without problems.
and to the person who took theirs to the dealership i hope they can solve your issues to hopefully solve mine, haha. I took mine to a Honda dealership in town to see if they might could guess at what it was by me describing it, since Honda is Acura......of course they could not even guess at the issue...they were oh so helpful.

Well, they finally got it figured out.
Both the main power window switch and the switch in the front passenger door needed to be replaced. It took the service department at my dealer 5 days to figure out what/where the problem was.
With labor, the total came out to $582. Luckily, it was covered under my extended warranty. A $100 deductible payment covered it all for me.
I hope this helps.
