wheezing from door lock

noticed recently that the driver side passenger door lock seems to make a wheezing noise when i lock/unlock it.

does this have anything to do with the actuator dying? i can't remember if this happened before i got my windows tinted, but this has been going on for a few weeks now. but the lock seems to still function.

Does your door have asthma? I kid, I kid.

Is the doorlock slower to react compared to the others? If so, then yes; it is likely the actuator if failing.

hmm...i'll have to check the locks this weekend to see if it is slower than the rest.

in the meantime, maybe i'll invest in this sweet new mod:

I have the similar problem. My driver doorlock is slower to react if I open/close using the remote, but other than that it reacts the same time. Is it the sign of failing actuator?

i looked at this weekend. the lock doesn't seem to be moving any slower than the others as far as i'm concerned. and the wheezing comes and goes. sometimes you hear it, other times it's not there.

eh. i guess if i go in for my next service check, i'll have them look at it.

When the locks start wheezing, they typically will stop working soon after.
