wheel stud replacement...?
wheel stud replacement...?
long story short I have two streched wheels studs and need to replace them this weekend... I was wondering if anyone knows if you have to remove the hub and press them out or is there enough clearnce to tap em out and pull another through... TIA...!
Pretty sure front studs require that the hub is pressed out of the bearing for enough clearance with the knuckle (bearing will be damaged from pressing and must be replaced as well). Make sure you install the new bearing the right way, as the ABS pulser is integrated into the bearing.
Rear studs should be replaceable "on the car" after you remove the brake caliper and rotor.
