Wheel alignment and Headlight adjustment
So, I am bringing my TSX for wheel alignment and headlight adjustment. I was told that I have to pay 135 dollars for the wheel alignment. Is this what usually people charge? My dad says outside people charges a lot less than that. I am not too sure what to do. Another issue is the headlights. I would do the adjustments myself but my dad says that the way they adjust the headlights is much better because of the flat ground. On top of that, the dealership told me to bring in the car to check out the headlights to see how much it would cost to adjust. I feel like I am being cheated. What should I do?

Let me help you!
Wheel alignments are usually around $79. The last time I checked, my local dealership was offering a discount and was charging $79 for an alignment.
As for the headlight, do it yourself. You just need to find an appropriate place to adjust and make the measurement. Do a search on the forums to find the steps/measurements. There are some supermarkets around here that would work well...lots of space in the rear, and it's all flat

Dude, if you go to a NTB you get a 3 year alignment for that price. A normal 6 month alignment shouldn't be more than $80, and even that is high, don't do it. I adjusted my own lights after lowering the car too, just get a screw drive and a flat portion in a parking lot with a wall and do it there!

man, you're getting r@ped! i paid $55 at Curry Acura, click on service specials
you can change the headlights yourself, all you need is a philips-head screwdriver to aim up/down - it's so easy. don't go to paragon or acura of manhattan, their service are horrible.

I am pretty sure it isn't state by state regulation, its just what Acura sets it at based on the laws and the type of headlights. If you do a search, there is a scanned in PDF of how to adjust them and what the measurements are suppose to be....i just don't have time right now to find it. I thinks it like 40 ft from the wall and measure up like 3' or something close to that.....i just eyeballed it!

On another note, I almost died yesterday. I went to Floyd Bennett Field at night. If you guys been there you should know that there are no lights there. So I was leaving and I passed this SUV going kind of slow. I was going at like 60-70 mph. All of the sudden I see the turn and I didn't even know I ran the stop sign, so I turned hard and braked really hard too. After the turn my car would keep going and would not stop and I was so close hopping the curb and going on the grass. I was only 1 feet away. I felt the ABS kicking in. Thank god! I was thinking about pulling the E-Brake and just drifting around the corner but dammit that was too scary!

I know this is an old post, but the Helms manual says to do this. Park the car 25 feet from a wall. Measure the height, at the car, from the ground to the center of the projector. That is the height the cutoff should be against the wall, 25 feet away. Hope that helps someone ; )

Ok well here are 2 not so good pictures but you could see the scattering. Does anyone have any idea?
Due to the bad picture quality....it may seem the top part of the cutoff is black but there's a little rainbow going on there on that whole strip. I tried lowering the headlights and it didn't do anything.
