Weird TPMS issue

08 TSX with 110k miles. Recently the TPMS system failure message started coming on. Happened the first time on a long road trip. Was fine the whole time i was there, but came on when I was on the way back home. It's been intermittent ever since. Recently figured out that it's only coming on when I'm traveling at interstate speed. On my normal drive the system seems to work fine. Anyone have any ideas why speed would be a factor in the system failure message coming up?

High speed results in higher tire temps and possibly higher internal pressure. Presumably TPMS monitors both under/over pressure.

Suggest checking whether some tires might be near the upper limit cold.

good luck

All 4 are around 32-34 psi. Also had new tires put on last week, no change. May start looking for a new set of sensors. Guy at the tire shop said he'd swap them out for me for free if I get them in the next 6 months. How long are the batteries supposed to last?
