Weird noise while reversing.

I have a problem with my car. There's this noise that comes from the rear of my car, while reversing. Almost like a weird, loud winding/grinding noise. Does anybody know what it might be. What is weird, is that the sound only comes while reversing, even more so while turning the wheel while reversing. I'm thinking about taking it in to the dealer to have it checked out, but I figuered I'd ask the question here first. I'm still within my warranty, but I'm not sure if something like this would be covered. Please, response are welcome.... thanks..

It might be considered "normal" in that I have noticed all TSX's I have driven sound like old cars when reversing. That "gears moving" type sound when in reverse. Increases as speed increases.

Most modern cars have taken away that noise in reverse, but the TSX still has it. But I wouldn't worry if thats the noise you hear, cars did it for decades before and it was OK.

Assuming you have always heard the noise, and this isn't something new......

07 AT, yah I have that same sound I think you're talking about when driving in reverse. Sounds like an electric golf cart. I'm used to it! No harm.

Reversing uses a spur gear. Going forward uses helical gears.
