Water Leak in Trunk

Hi All,

I'm troubleshooting the leak that's in my trunk. I found an excessive amount of water pooled up in the holes to the left opening of the trunk. The right also has some but not to the same amount. I also found some water leaking down the middle of the trunk and this is where I see a lot of water pooling when it rains. Someone did hit me a few years ago but there wasn't any damage so I just didn't do anything about it. I think I should replace the trunk seal. But is it worth swapping out the seals behind the lights as well? Has anyone else had this issue before? I'm attaching pictures of the holes where I found the water as well as highlighted where the water was trickling down the middle.

Thanks

I removed the trunk gasket and found a little rust where the two sheets of metal meet. I think water is coming in from the silicone they install before applying the gasket. I'm going to re-do that and hope that will fix the issue. I don't see any water on the gaskets (from what I can touch) so I don't think that's the issue. Will report back once I have done the work and tested it out.
