Water Leak

I have an 06 tsx bought in the winter. Summer rains came and left a puddle on the floor board in the back drivers side. Not on the car mat but underneath it.

Took it to two dealerships. The first claimed they i never had the proper seals and mechanics to hold the sunroof up. They replaced the "whole sunroof".

Second dealership said they cleaned out the sunroof drainage tracks and repositioned the sunroof. Lastly they told me not to park near any trees. How possible is that?! I live in the land of palm trees! I'm pretty sure that palmtree leaves were not stuck in my sunroof. I live in Florida and wondering if ANYONE has a similar situation.

A couple people have had this before, but I can't remember what the problem was. Try searching. Sorry I can't be of more help.

So months later, I still have this annoying leak. Water is somehow entering the driver's side door. After any sort of rain, I open the driver's door and water comes rushing away from where the Acura "scuff plate" is. At the same time, the whole acura scuff plate area and underside of the driver's door is wet. Closer look show water dripping into the car on top of the plastic panel. Now this is NOT supposed to be normal because my passenger door NOR an 07 tsx I had tested this on was wet.

HELP HELP HELP!! I know that someone might have a suggestion that might solve my problem. Now I wait....

I can't recall for sure and I'm too tired to go out and look, but isn't that part outside of the seal on the door? I know my door is often wet there (on all four doors I think) after I wash my car but I've never had any problem with water getting inside the car.

I read about a guy with a TL a while ago who had a similar problem. It turned out there was a blockage in a drainage tube going from around the sunroof down to somewhere near the trunk. I know it took him (or the dealer) forever to figure it out.

There are four drain slots on the inside bottom of the front doors. They should be clean.
If your vehicle has been undercoated - they don't do that here in TX - they may have been plugged in error. Compare driver and passenger sides ...

All underbody plugs are still in place, sunroof drains have been checked (i have rarely utilized it for this purpose!), my driver's door seal was "fixed" by the dealership and sunroof was replaced.

Look to see if the four slots on the inside bottom of the door are clear.

Underbody plugs are not the issue here, and I can't see why anybody was monkeying around with the sunroof.
