Washer Fluid evac...

So i went to fill up my washer fluid today ,pourrd a whole bottle in ,closed the hood and drove to work. Half way to work went to go use my wipers no fluid. I get to work , the cap is on tight and i have no fluid at all in the container, just wondering if anyone has had this problem , i am thinking it broke because it has been very cold and all it took was a little movement putting the fluid in for the plastic to break somewhere on the container. Any ideas on how much this will cost to fix , or is it something easy i can do myself. Thanks in advance.

Well, if the break is in the tank, here you go....

76840-SEA-003 TANK SET, WASHER 2005 TSX $40.39

Looks like a straight forward replacement. Remove intake tube, electrical underneath, outlet hose, and screws holding it in.

PhiDelt,

You're not the only one with this problem, I have been having it too ever since I got the car. I found out last year that there is less problems with a better washer fluid ( with de-icer). IMO, it's a design issue where the nozzles/ tubes are easily prone to freezing up.

See thread below about RDX owners having the same issue.

I agree the nozzles are in a horrible spot for people that have to deal with winter for most of the year. Snow and ice collects in the very easily and u have to dig right in to clean it all out.

I just found out the joys of winter since I moved to a colder climate (Colorado) from California.

I had a small freeze in one of my lines but I let the engine get hot and coaxed the fluid out. Immediately I went and put some of the de-icer fluid in the tank and I haven't had any more problems since (and it's been down as far as -5° so far.)

Since I made the change to the Prestone De-Icer fluid I haven't had any more freeze-ups.

you have to remove the bumper to access the tank make sure you buy the special tool to remove the bumper/trim clips , you could use a pair of pliers but you will end up damaging them other than that its not that hard
