Vinyl Door repair
Anyone know of a way to repair the vinyl trim on our doors from a snag, and not a rip/hole?
My dog snagged the rear door panel on the ledge where the window glass meets the interior door panel...theres 3 little raised dimples, not ripped, but looks like he stretched/deformed the vinyl...
Id rather not shell out 250 for a new door panel...
Thanks

I think the area you are describing is the long thin piece of plastic/rubber/vinyl that touches the window glass? If so, that is probably fairly cheap to buy at a dealership (or one of our forum vendors such as Prestige Acura). Its just a piece of weatherstripping.
If you're speaking of the actual door panel plastic, the only thing you might be able to do is re-form it with a bit of heated metal (screwdriver) but that is asking for trouble IMO.

yeah, its the 4" tall strip of ebony "pleather" that goes the entire length of the door, right above the "aluminum" trim band, not just the little rubber strip that contacts the window, sorry I wasnt sure how to describe it.
I was thinking of heating it up with a hair dryer and trying to smooth it out with something, but
