Trunk lock

Folks,

No matter what I do, I can't lock the trunk from the driver side by using the master key in the key slot near the lever that activates the fuel door/trunk release This feature is supposed to help keep you trunk unaccessible when using valet parking, but I can't get it to work. I tried turning the key in both directions with the master key and even though I hear a "click" I can still open the trunk manually by activating the trunk handle above the rear license plate. Am I missing something here?

I think I tried it once and it worked on mine...I'll have to try it again now.

Isn't there a trunk disable switch somewhere in the glovebox?

Open the glovebox and look up, you'll see a switch to disable the trunk from opening.

The trunk override switch is in the upper left hand corner of the glovebox.

I was able to lock the trunk release lever with the master key, but when I unlocked it, I still couldn't open the trunk with the lever. Weird.

Trunk info is on page 87 of the owners manual, but I couldn't find anything on the glovebox switch.

I got the same problem on my EDM Accord. When I lock it, only the trunk release in the interior is locked.

OK, I saw the switch this time, it does override everything else it seems. I don't understand the lock logic then, and how it works with the lock on the floor. I'll take it to the dealership and ask them to check on it.

The key lock on the floor next to the trunk and gas lever is suppose to lock just the lever. The switch in the glove box only disables the exterior switch. So to completly lock out a valet guy you must do both actions I just listed.

And lock the glovebox, I'd assume...and you'd also only give the Valet the Valet key (can't remember if you guys said the TSX comes with one, but I assume it does), which doesn't have a remote, and won't unlock either the glovebox or the floor lever.
