For a while now I have noticed that one of my two trip odometers will occaisonally reset. This is not good since I use them specifically to gauge how much time in between oil changes. The most I have ever seen one of the trip odometers go is about 900 miles. Do they reset at 1000? I think I may wait a while and then go to the dealer if it happens again. Please let me know if anyone has had the same problem.

 

It works great for me. However, as you said, you wait over 1000 miles and I normally reset it way before that.

 

The trip odometers only run to 999 and then they reset.

 

Really, in my 98 Jetta it never did that and it had a digital odometer. Weird, I wish it didn't work like that.

 

I guess I will have to get a roll of those stickers to put on my windshield like the oil change places to let me know when to do it.

 

Well, normally I reset trip A every day and trip B every tank of gas. Wonder what's the reason to stay beyond 1000 miles. But again, agree it should allow trip beyond 1000 miles. So, this could be an enhancement for 2005 or beyond.

 

You should be happy. We get it resetted at every 1000km.
