i did a small search before this so if i missed the thread just link me there.

But, the small upper part of the center console is totally stuck, it doesn't stay down if i push either button. Basically it seems like the springs mustve broken or the plastic maybe since it wont stick to the bottom part of the box.
=/ should i take it to an acura dealership?
i dont feel like paying hundreds of dollars to fix the little problem but the top part of the compartment does come in handy, and i have slight ocd to things like that so it bothers me.

 

When I was doing the DIY ambience lighting I noticed that the side of the C.D. center cubby it is spring loaded and it glides on these plastic wedges /track that are in the side of the cubby, thats what makes it such as smooth open. Maybe you pushed to hard and it miss aligned itself off the track /wedges, the cd cubby came out buy just pulling really hard on the edges, however I never tried the change holder.

Anyway if you dont wanto break anything let the dealer look at it first, my dealer is quite reputable and a small problem like this they would not charge me for.

i mean by center console, the center box that has the arm rest on it. the on ewiht two buttons.
the top is a little tray and the bottom is much deeper like a bucket.
the top tray is just totally stuck >.< to the top of the box

 

I had the same problem.

I tried lubing the hinge, but that didn't help...brought it to the dealer to fix under warranty.

It's still not 100% perfect, but much better.

 

Yikes, maybe you should try word processing software? Or maybe spell check before you make a post. I know you maybe not be the best at explaining things, but we should at least be able to read what you’re posting! I have not looked for you, but I am sure it has been discussed in a previous forum do a search.

btw, my armrest console tray has also became loose overtime, I had the dealer swap it out for me.
