Temp/time/radio Display dims and flickers

Temp/time/radio Display dims and flickers
The Temp/time/radio Display located above the air vents on my 2005 just started flickering and dims so low that you can't read it. If I hit the dash above the display most times the display will go back to normal brightness. Can anyone recommend a fix or does anyone know how to take the display out?
