tapping the sateering wheel can be felt through the brake pedal

Hi, I was driving the other day and had come to a traffic light. While stopped at the traffic light I was tapping on the to of the steering wheel along with the music. Each tap could be felt coming through the brake pedal. And I'm not talking about banging the steering wheel but just light tapping with a finger or too. It definitely was not bass vibrations because you can feel it when the music is off and even when the whole car is off too.
Has anyone noticed this before? Can anyone replicated the same sensation?

Has any one tried this in their car to see whether they feel this sensation too?

I have an '07 and I've felt this before too, but I'm not sure if it is normal or why this happens. I've never felt it in any other car.

Hi, thanks for acknowledging that it occurs. It also happens in my wife's new Honda Civic. So it seems normal but I'd be interested to know why it occurs.
