Question Sticky AT shifter

Two week old TSX with 5AT and a sticky shifter when I try to go into park. If I shift into 3rd then park it works. Does not happen all the time, is it me or does my baby need to see the dealer?

No problems here... my build # is right around yours (#12,238) - hope it's just a fluke.

How many miles does your car have?

Have approximately 770 miles of pure driving pleasure.

I have about 250 miles of pure driving pleasure - but again, no sticky shifter. Did you have this from the beginning or did it happen over time? Can you describe the issue? Maybe you're not used to the gated shifter!?

I wonder about the shifter gate too. Sometimes when I park the shifter glides into park as smooth as silk. Other times it refuses to budge, I have learned to downshift into 3rd and up, no hang up. Thought at first I was trying to push down, bur dilgent about not doing this. Does not happen all the time, not ruled out drive stupidity, just trying to understand the issue.

I do drive non freeway with the sport shifter otherwise nothing else. Love the feel of control the SS gives, the auto tranny was an appeasment to the wife; like I am going to let her ever drive the TSX.

Wife has a 96 TL and I never had this problem. My previous drive was a 95 Integra only problem was a rattle when it was in reverse, not bad for a drive with over a 128,000 on the odometer.

same here

I have the same issue. But I noticed it only sticks after I've gone into manual mode or D3. Which made me think some gate was inplace. Certainly these linkages will break-in with time. Somtimes there is no problem at all.

I've got the same problem as well- same as the rest of you- it only happens sometimes, but I can't find the pattern. Let me know if you find out anything from the dealer...
