Hi,

I bought my tsx, 3 weeks back and I have noticed that the steering column is vibrating at speeds around 70. I have taken an appointment to get it checked by the dealer. Does the dealers charge for fixing this kind of problem on a new car? This is my first new car so don't know much.

It will be taken care of under warranty. Probably a tire out of balance, or possibly a slipped belt in the tire itself.

 

Does anyone know how to tell if a belt has slipped in a tire?

Often you can see belt seperation in a tire by watching the tread as the tire is rotating, either on a balancing machine or spinning on the car on a lift. The tread will often wobble slightly side to side.
