Steering Column Cover Removal?
2008 TSX
I have a ticking noise in my steering column. Sounds like a wire or tubing is rubbing against the plastic cover that sits behind the steering wheel, covering the wiring. Dealer fixed this once during warranty and now it's back.
What's it take to remove the plastic cover? Looks like a single screw from the bottom, but surely there's more to it.

Just to clarify, does this sound like a metallic coin sort of sound when you turn the wheel? The sound is like a piece of metal that shifts as you turn the wheel halfway and then back again, almost like a metal coin bouncing around? If so, it's the airbag itself. I actually had my airbag replaced 3 times (yes three) for this noise. Turns out, it's just bad design for the airbag. Apparently there's metal wires that touch to let the horn work above the airbag. These just get loose over time. It's apparently not a defect given that all 3 of my airbags were silent at first install, and then started to make this noise after a couple months. It may be something else completely, but that was the sound for me.
The plastic cover behind the steering wheel comes off pretty easily. I don't even think there are any screws, just tabs that connect horizontally where the ignition key goes and on the exact opposite side of the steering column in the same place, I believe.

Holy crap, not only is my memory going, but so are my search abilities. I posted this question last year, but the dealer fixed the problem and I forgot I'd even asked the question. Not sure why it didn't come up when I performed a forum search. 1,000 pardons for the duplicate post.
This is not a metallic rolling sound, it's a vibration like wiring just barely making contact with plastic.
