I have a new 2008 TSX. I had experienced buzzing and clicking when turn the ignition key to start the car. It does not happen everytime. 4x during the last 4 weeks. Re-turn the key and the car starts without any buzzing.
Have anybody experience this!
Any info would be appreicated.

 

How long does the buzzing last after you turn the car on? Can you isolate the origin of the sound?

I get a faint buzzing sound during all starts, but it lasts about 2 seconds. From what I've read, it's the ABS check.

But if the car is starting and you are just pausing to hear it prior to the start, its the fuel pump turning on. If it happens milliseconds before the car starts, its the solenoid on the starter. Have you power washed the engine bay recently... is it cold where you are located?

 

I've had the same problem on my '07. A few others on the forum also have had the problem. The car buzzes and doesn't turn, then it starts on the retry. When it first happened i thought for sure something electric shorted.

It seemed a lot more frequent during the first 5000 miles. Since 5000 miles I think it has happened once and I am now at 8500 miles. I plan to bring it up to the dealer during my next oil change.

 

I currently have an '08 - no problem. I had an early '04 (#000369) that had that problem but was never diagnosd/fixed although it was tried a number of times. Before I traded it for my RL they were gooing to replace the starter switch but I told them to hold off. Mine sounded like an electrical short in the column.

I have less than 3K, and it happen 4X. I also will being it up to the dealer when I bring it in at 5K oil change.
