Stabilizer Link Not Positioned Correctly or Crooked?

Please help! Can you look at these pictures I took of my Driver Side and Passenger Side Stabilizer Link? The driver side looks more crooked then the passenger side. Where I circled in blue on the driver side----it looks like it's not attached correctly on the bottom and pulling away. When I compare it to the passenger side---it's looks straight and less crooked. Can someone do me a favor and crawl underneath their TSX behind the wheel and look up with a flashlight to see if it looks the same? Is this normal?

Thank you so much!
Shawn

Looks to me that the sway bar is shifted slightly to the right. Shouldn't really be any cause for concern. Has the car ever had any suspension repairs done? Usually see this on cars that have had one side of the suspension banged into something, but also possible it just wasn't perfectly centered when the car was assembled. Probably not very easy to correct without lowering the front subframe down, because as I recall the sway bar mount bolts are not easily accessible. If you can loosen the sway bar mounts, the sway bar should fairly easily slide side to side.

The car hasn't had any suspension repairs. If it is shifted it's probably from a pothole? I'm hearing mixed answers that this is normal but it looks so abnormal to me.

Thanks again!

I had that when I first installed my sway bar. See if you can wiggle it and it should come loose...

The fastest way without using a hex key is to take an adjustable wrench and clamp that black part between the connectors and then take the ratchet with the right size key to loose up that bolt.

I tried using the hex key and stripped it away.

evil_acura: since you are looking to change this part, can you at least tell me if the driver side looks the same as mine, please?

Actually, both sides look like they're shifted to the inside (the tops of both links are leaning in). This would almost indicate that the sway bar is not long enough. Can't imagine that it could be the wrong part, but you never know.

im changing mine casue it broke, but i can tell you that when i have looked at it before it broke both sides are even at least on my car, but that was thousands of miles ago. My take on it is if it seems stable and doesnt want to "rock" off and your steering isnt affected in anyway then it should be good.

I only noticed mine was broken casue my steering became different.

Driving was normal, only noticed it at uneven road wears where it felt like the wheel (on the broken stabilizer link) was trying to move with the road unevenness. hope that helps a lil
