Need help, what to buy/upgrade:

So, assume I have about $1400 to spend, what should/can I change on the TSX?

I have a 05 AT/Navi with 72K miles (I drive 500+ miles a week). I'm really leaning towards a decent set of brakes, because they need replacing within the next few months.

I don't want multi-media type upgrades, strictly driving performance (and maybe tint?). I already have new tires as of a few months ago. Everything on the car is stock.

Suggestions? Rotors/pads? What else? Need your . Thanks!

4 rotors (Brembo blanks) and 4 sets of Hawk Pads (ceramic) - about $370, + shipping. (Tirerack.com).

Tint - varies, call around. This shouldn't be more than $200 and with lifetime warranty.

Cold Air intake (CAI) is another option -$200-ish.

Awesome thanks.

Regarding CAI, what differences can I expect? I used to have a 2001 Mustang Bullitt and I did a CAI on that and noticed a slight increase in throttle response, a throatier growl from the intake, and a negligible difference in fuel economy.

Does it do much for the TSX?

A small bump in the mid through the top end. A small dent in the low end torque. You can hear the engine being awesome when you get on the gas.

You could also upgrade your rear stabilizer bar for better turn in response and all around sharper handling. Then there's the Hondata ECU reflash but I'm not sure if it's available for your year and transmission.

Personally I'd do the brakes, including new stainless lines first and probably the RSB. That would best accentuate what the TSX is good at it out of the box. If I had more money burn/spend, I'd go with the CompTech IceBox, a decent set of headers an upgraded cat and the reflash.

New F/R brake pads, new front rotors.

Then Comptech , RT hi flow cat, and Topspeed header.
