SRS light 42-11 Error

Hey guys i took my car in to the stealership to run the srs light that has been on for a bit. Today they came back and told me the code was 42-11 indicated a failure in the right front sensor and want 300 bucks to fix it. I thought the SRS system had a lifetime warranty but i cannot find any documentation to help

Is this something I can do myself? , I've changed my brakes and rotors myself so i am fairly confident

Thanks all

There is a very detailed installation sequence in the Acura Shop Manual. Since this sensor could actuate the airbags, it may be best to leave to a professional.

If you're determined to DIY, suggest purchasing a shop manual from automanualsource.com for $22.

good luck

I know the seatbelts are lifetime warranty. Seatbelt buckles could fail causing the SRS light to turn on. The buckles are part of the seatbelt system and therefore covered. Maybe you got mixed up with that.

Yea i eventually just brought it in to let a tech fix it. Not something to mess with. I got an invoice for 289 and they charged me over 350 lol. Time to call service manager or Acura. Retarded how i have a physical invoice for an amount and price is different when i arrive. Service chick was trying to dip and dodge why
