Squeeling noise from engine area at idle

Recently I've been noticing a squeeling noise from the front lower passenger's side engine area, around where all the drive belts are, and sounds like a belt slipping. Noise is relatively loud outside the car, and can be traced from around the lower bumper area on the passenter's side. However, it only occurs when the car is first started and warming up at idle. Once the car is warmed up, the noise is gone. Any ideas what this could be?

Car is just out of warranty and I strated getting this noise..

Do you know exactly which belt it is?

There's only one belt.

I haven't really looked carefully, but I thought the alternator, AC, power steering, etc were on separate belts. So it's all driven by one single belt?

Yes there's a single serpentine accessory belt. To determine if this is the source of your noise......with the engine at idle making the noise, spray just a little WD40 (too much and it just gets flung all over) onto the inside of the belt with the little red nozzle. If the noise disappears immediately, you know the belt is glazed/noisy. It's time for a new accessory drive belt.

Also try turning the A/C on and off to see if that changes the sound. (The A/C compressor also runs on the same belt.)

You can also try turning your wheel on the way left or right. (Power steering also is on the same belt.)

The oil sounds a bit risky..I have never done that. Not saying it won't work. In the old days we took a bar of Ivory Soap and held it to the belt as it ran obviously risky.

I might suggest running soap over both sides of the belt maybe a few inches long on both sides. Don't overdo it.

So, the dealer looked at the car for me free of charge, and they checked the tension on the belts and found it to be ok. Also checked the pulleys to be ok. What else could this be??
